Job Title: Logistician

Job Duties:

  • Analyze and coordinate the logistical functions of a firm or organization.
  • Responsible for the entire life cycle of a product, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources
  • Maintain and develop positive business relationships with a customer's key personnel involved in or directly relevant to a logistics activity.
  • Develop an understanding of customers' needs and take actions to ensure that such needs are met.
  • Direct availability and allocation of materials, supplies, and finished products Work with buyers, quality receiving personnel, management and freight companies to co-ordinate sales orders so that the commodities is received by the customer in time.
  • Work with management to identify high selling commodities and identify solutions to eliminate future occurrences.
  • Compile, review and analyze periodical reports to ensure inventory accuracy and inbound/outbound commodity flows, on schedule.
  • Stay informed of logistics technology advances, and apply appropriate technology in order to improve logistics processes
  • Preparation of all the required export and import documentation for shipments from US to destination countries, for eg. China, South Korea, Pakistan.
  • Manage the whole CCIC inspection process for all shipments to China to get the CCIC certificate in time. Reporting of all export shipments (Electronic Export Information) to US Census Bureau using AESDirect.
  • Filing of shipping instructions for every container been exported in a timely and accurate manner. Making sure of proper packing, storing and loading of scrap commodities as per government and destination country requirements.
  • Access the profitability of selling scrap metals to one country versus the other.
  • Keeping a watch on global metal markets to give suggestions to the management for buying and selling of particular metal scrap as per its inventory. Predict the futures of metal scrap for its inventory, buying and selling with the help of various industry related websites and tools.

Work Schedule: F/T, 40hrs. Mon-Fri, 8.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.

Education: Master’s in Business Administration
